Cake Decorating

Learn to prepare your cake, ice your cake, and make the butter cream icing. You will learn the basics of cake decorating such as writing, borders, stars, drop flowers, figure piping, the rose and much more.  A supply list will be provided at registration.

Basic Computer Applications

This class is designed for the basic computer user and those with limited understanding of computer fundamentals. Learn how to use e-mail, surf the internet and other functions.

Photography for Beginners

Bring your camera and learn how to make the most beautiful pictures of individuals and outside settings.

DSLR Photography Class

Embroidery

Learn the art of decorating fabric or other materials with needle and thread. A supply list will be provided at registration.

Tis the Season - Floral Design

Learn to make budget-friendly holiday table decorations with natural and live greenery, leaves, vegetables, berries and twigs. Turn those old jars, lanterns, and pitchers into beautiful centerpieces.

A supply list will be provided at registration.

Drawing I

Learn to draw what you see!Participant will create a drawing which reflects size, scale, proportion, and value while learning the process of drawing what they see. Minimum Age: 15 or Permission from Instructor;Minimum of 6 participants for class to make/Maximum of 12; Materials provided; Participants will create one piece of finished art. Registration Deadline: Tuesday, September 30.

Drawing II

Learn to draw what you see...continued! Pre-requisite: Drawing I or Permission from Instructor Participant will build on what they learned in Drawing I and learn to apply color using color pencils. Minimum Age: 15 or Permission from Instructor; Minimum of 6 participants for class to make/Maximum of 12; Materials provided; Participants will create one piece of finished art. Registration Deadline:  Tuesday, October 7.

5:30 PM to 7:30 PM Tuesday - October 14 (1 meeting) – Monroeville, Tuition $20.

 

Painting I: Acrylic Still Life

Participant will create an acrylic painting of fruits and vegetables, learning the basics of color theory, composition, and this water based medium. Recommended: Drawing I Minimum Age: 15 or Permission from Instructor; Minimum of 6 participants for class to make/Maximum of 12; Materials provided; Participants will create one piece of finished art. Registration Deadline:  Tuesday, October 14.

Painting II: Watercolor Still Life

Making an Epic Marriage

This six-week seminar for couples of all ages will help you focus on the basic building blocks of a great relationship that is designed to last a lifetime. Every marriage needs maintenance and this is a great opportunity to consider those vital areas such as constant courting, communication, conflict, keeping love alive, and the key to a lasting marriage. This seminar will be led by Kevin Castleberry, who has a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of Mobile and has been a minister and counselor for over 20 years.

6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Monday - October 13 - November 17 (6 meetings) – Monroeville, There is no tuition fee but registration is required.

 

Registration will begin September 30, at the business office of the respective campus. Class locations will be assigned at the time of registration.  Space is limited.  Advance enrollment is required to determine if the class will be offered.  Classes are open for current students and non-students.  ASCC reserves the right to cancel any course.  No refunds unless ASCC cancels the course.  For additional information call 334-637-3174 for Thomasville classes, and 251-575-8265 for Monroeville classes.
