Dual Enrollment

Get your college career off to the right start! Enroll in Dual Enrollment and earn college credit while still in high school.

High school students can jump start their college career with the Dual Enrollment program at Alabama Southern. Dual Enrollment allows qualified students the opportunity to receive both high school credit and college credit through Alabama Southern.

Dual Enrollment students gain early exposure to the college learning environment and positive reinforcement of learning skills. Students who complete the program can enter college at the sophomore level after high school graduation.

Admission requirements for Dual Enrollment program:
- Students must meet the admission requirements of Alabama Southern.
- Students must have a B average in completed high school courses.
- Students must be in grade 10, 11 or 12.
- Students must have appropriate scores on the ACT or the COMPASS placement test.
- Students must have written approval from your school's counselor, principal and the local superintendent of education.
- There must be a signed agreement between Alabama Southern and the school system.

Dual Enrollment is restricted to qualified students in Alabama public and/ or regionally accredited high schools who have signed an agreement with Alabama Southern. Criteria for student eligibility are developed by each individual school system and may be more restrictive than the minimum criteria listed above.
