Testing Center

Operating Hours:

Testing centers are open from 8:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Fridays.

Weekend Testing on the Thomasville Campus - Saturdays - 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.; Sundays - 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. For current availability or weekend testing for other sites call the testing center at ext. 614.

Testing Center Services:

Testing Centers are for the administration of test only. Therefore, no supplemental labs, practice tests, tutoring, or study guides will be available in the testing center. These activities are accessible through the Open Supplemental Labs and Tutorial Services.

The testing center provides the following services free of charge to Alabama Southern Community College students:

  • Proctored tests for ASCC instructors
  • Proctored tests for distance learning courses
  • Compass/Asset Placement Test
  • TABE or other diagnostic testing
  • Ability to Benefit Testing for Financial Aid
  • ACT WorkKeys Assessment
  • Test accommodations for students with disabilities
  • WebCT testing – WebCT is not set up by the testing center. Please contact Fran Craven for additional information.
  • Make-up tests
  • Other Computer-based tests
  • GED Test
  • GED Practice Test
  • Career Testing

All tests will be collected at the end of each appointed session and at closing time, and no tests will be administered one hour prior to the closing of the center.

Other Information:

  • Special Accommodations – Students seeking special accommodations should contact the ADA office at 334-636-9642 or 251-575-3156 ext. 3213.
  • Proctoring – Testing staff visually monitor all testing situations. Any unusual circumstances are reported to the Dean of External Testing, the Dean of Students, the Vice President, and/or respective instructors.
