Transcripts/Student Records

Online
Request a transcript by logging on to ASCC Online.

In Person
Complete and sign a request form in the Student Development Office, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

By Mail
Requests may be submitted by letter and should include the following information:

  1. Student's legal signature
  2. Student's full name/name used while in attendance
  3. Current address
  4. Daytime telephone number
  5. Student ID number (social security number)
  6. Graduation date/years attended/campus attended
  7. Name and address of the party to receive the transcript

By Fax
Please fax your request to (251) 575-5238 and include the following information:

  1. Student's legal signature
  2. Student's full name/name used while in attendance
  3. Current address
  4. Daytime telephone number
  5. Student ID number (social security number)
  6. Graduation date/years attended/campus attended
  7. Name and address for the party to receive the transcript

By Telephone or email
Since we must have the student's legal signature before we are allowed by law to issue a transcript, requests are not accepted by phone or e-mail.

Official Transcripts
Official transcripts normally are mailed directly to the receiving party. Official transcripts in a sealed envelope may be picked up by the student in the Student Development Office. (The student must produce a picture ID in order to obtain the transcript).

Unofficial Transcripts (copies for students)
Transcripts issued directly to the student and/or faxed transcripts are unofficial transcripts. Students requesting an unofficial transcript in person must produce a picture ID.

Fees
There is no charge for an official or unofficial transcript.

Additional Information
Transcripts are issued within a 48-hour time period upon receipt of request, except during registration and drop/add periods. There may be a delay during these times.

Students must show a picture ID when requesting and picking up transcripts in the office. All financial obligations to Alabama Southern Community College must be cleared before transcripts can be released. Transcripts may not be picked up by another party unless the student has given written authorization with the request. The designated person will be expected to show a picture ID before obtaining the transcript. Transcript requests are to be signed by the individual whose name is on the transcript.

If you have a financial obligation to Alabama Southern or if your admissions file is incomplete, your transcript will not be released.

High School Transcripts Required for Admission
Students applying for admission to Alabama Southern must have their official high school transcript, GED documentation, and/or official transcripts from all other colleges attended sent to the Alabama Southern Registrar's Office.

All correspondence regarding transcripts must include the student's full name and social security number. Transcripts should be sent to:
