Jasmine McCants Named All-Region First Team and South Division First Team

Jasmine McCants was named to the All-Region First Team and South Division First Team for the ACCC Region 22 Conference. A 6-foot freshman from Pensacola, Florida, McCants plays forward for the Lady Eagles.

“I’m excited McCants will be returning to the team next year. She has been a hard worker and continually improved throughout the season,” said Alabama Southern Women’s Basketball Head Coach, Rosalind Jennings.

McCants averaged 12.8 points, 10.2 rebounds and shot 42% FG this season.

 


Shannon Watts Named to 2nd Team All-Conference

Shannon Watts was voted to the 2nd Team All-Conference for the ACCC Region 22 South Conference.

Watts is from Montgomery and transferred in as a sophomore to Alabama Southern. Standing at 5’3”, Watts played point guard for the Lady Eagles.

Coach Rosalind Jennings said, “She was determined and played hard for us this season.”

Watts averaged 8.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and shot 32% FG this season.

 


Brown Signs with AUM

Gabrielle Brown, a forward on the 2012-2013 ASCC Lady Eagles Basketball Team, has signed with Auburn University at Montgomery. See story here
